She posed in front of the sea and wrote: ‘I’m not normally a fan of swimsuits but for @arabellalondon I’ll make an exception’

Frankie also posted adorable videos of her sons Parker (9) and Carter (7), whom she shares with her ex-footballer husband Wayne Bridge (43).

The celebration comes after Frankie opens up about her struggles with mental health, as she reflects on her time in The Saturdays.

The singer rose to fame in the noughties with his girl band, having previously been in the spotlight with S Club Juniors.

But behind the scenes, the 35-year-old singer struggled with depression and admitted she was unable to perform certain shows.

Speaking on Friday’s episode of Loose Women, he said: ‘When I wasn’t mentally well there were shows I couldn’t do.

‘You got this enormous pressure to continue with the show at a young age.’

Frankie continues: ‘It’s a really horrible feeling, it doesn’t feel right. I’ve seen it here on the show, some women are too sick to carry on but they do it anyway.’

This comes after Frankie thanked her fans for their support earlier this year after she revealed she was ‘secretly’ suffering from depression.

The singer has been candid about her battle with the condition, which left her hospitalised in 2011 after hitting rock bottom.

Frankie took to Instagram to share that she’s back on track and shared with her followers the tips she uses to overcome her gloomy mood.

Along with photos of her exercising, sleeping in bed with her children and a motivational message, she wrote a lengthy statement.

Writing: ‘Last week I wrote in my stories that I felt like depression was rearing its ugly head, but without realizing it, I found myself back in that state of unmotivation and dejection.’

“I try to share when I feel able, when I feel that way, in the hopes that it encourages us all to open up a little more when we’re not feeling well.”

She continued, “I’ve had so many wonderful messages from so many of you, offering kindness and support, thank you so much! It’s especially reminded me that I don’t have to feel guilty about my feelings!”

“There are certain things that I know… that if I do them, it will put me in a better state of mind.”

Frankie continued, “Here’s what I did to get myself back on track: I sought support from people I knew would support me. I spent time with the people I loved. I took some time to rest. I got outside in the fresh air.”

“I moved my body, even if it was just for 10 minutes!”

‘I’ve been reminding myself out loud of the things I already know deep down (but repeating them out loud seems to help somehow)’

“I threw myself back into my work and did what I loved. I made a mental note when I saw something small that brought me joy.”

She added: ‘If there’s anything you guys do when you’re in a rut, share it in the comments here. I’d love to know… and you never know, it might help someone else too.’

Frankie previously described how she had ‘hit rock bottom’ and had been hospitalised due to her ongoing battle with depression.

The singer gave an honest account of the lockdown during a Q&A session on Instagram, saying that she sometimes felt like she was “living differently to everyone else.”

When a fan asked her when she knew she needed help, Frankie replied, “I couldn’t cope with everyday life anymore.

“I was crying all the time and I felt exhausted and unable to continue as I was. Something had to change. I had hit rock bottom.”

Frankie also opened up about how her ex-footballer Wayne deals with her bad days and offered advice to partners of people with mental health issues.

She told her followers: ‘I think the most important thing is not to take it personally and remind yourself that it is an illness.’

“Also, try not to feel like you have to fix anything for him. Just be there and listen.”

“I’m sure Wayne gets fed up sometimes. It’s hard to be around.”

WHAT IS DEPRESSION?

While it’s normal to feel down occasionally, people with depression may feel persistently unhappy for weeks or months.

Depression can affect anyone at any age and is quite common, with about one in ten people experiencing it at some point in their lives.

Depression is a real health condition that people cannot simply ignore or ‘bridge’.

Symptoms and effects vary, but may include a constant feeling of anger or hopelessness, or a loss of interest in things you used to enjoy.

It can also cause physical complaints such as sleep problems, fatigue, decreased appetite or libido, and even physical pain.

In extreme cases it can lead to suicidal thoughts.

Traumatic events can cause it, and people with a family history of it may be at greater risk.

It is important to see a doctor if you think you or someone you know has depression, as depression can be treated with lifestyle changes, therapy, or medication.
