The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) is a premier institution established under the Tourism Act to enhance Kenya’s business tourism through meetings, conferences, and exhibitions.

KICC is responsible for organizing events, promoting incentives for corporate gatherings, working closely with the Tourism Board, and managing the venue’s marketing strategy. KICC is now inviting applications for the following positions:


1. Executive Personal Assistant (Job Grade KICC 3)

The Executive Personal Assistant provides critical support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in managing the executive office’s operations and administrative tasks. This role involves coordinating the CEO’s meetings, handling the daily diary, and ensuring effective communication with senior leadership and external stakeholders. The Assistant also prepares reports, drafts correspondence, manages email accounts, and represents the CEO in meetings when required. Additionally, this role monitors correspondence and manages communication flow to ensure timely responses and accuracy.

2. Security Services Manager (Job Grade KICC 3)

The Security Services Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe environment within KICC premises for staff, guests, and tenants. This role includes overseeing security protocols, coordinating with external security agencies, and implementing disaster-preparedness strategies. The manager also handles investigations of security incidents, manages outsourced security services, and ensures the functionality of security equipment, including CCTV systems. The position plays a crucial role in upholding safety and emergency response standards within the facility.

3. Housekeeping Manager (Job Grade KICC 3)

The Housekeeping Manager oversees cleanliness, aesthetics, and asset management across the facility. This includes directing cleaning activities, managing housekeeping staff, ordering necessary supplies, and ensuring the upkeep of public areas, rooms, and event spaces. The manager is responsible for budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with outsourced cleaning and landscaping services. Additionally, this role ensures that modern methods and efficient techniques are applied to maintain high housekeeping standards for a pleasant visitor experience.

4. Director Corporate Services (Job Grade KICC 2)

The Director of Corporate Services provides strategic leadership in managing the corporation’s financial, human resources, administrative, ICT, and communications functions. The role involves formulating and maintaining policies, optimizing resource use, and overseeing recruitment and performance development. The director coordinates directorate activities, manages asset utilization, and ensures sound financial practices to support the organization’s goals. This position also leads in aligning resources with KICC’s strategic priorities and customer expectations.

5. Manager, Human Resource and Administration (Job Grade KICC 3)

The Human Resource and Administration Manager plays an essential role in advising management on HR and administrative matters. This includes managing the recruitment process, training and development programs, performance evaluations, and staff welfare initiatives. The manager also oversees payroll, compliance with statutory obligations, and staff records management. In addition, they champion change management programs and develop policies to promote a positive workplace environment.

6. Manager, Information & Communication Technology (Job Grade KICC 3)

The ICT Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of technology services within the Corporation. This role involves planning for ICT needs, implementing data security, and ensuring compliance with ICT policies. The manager oversees the implementation of KICC’s ICT strategy, manages disaster recovery, and enhances system availability and stability. Additionally, the position includes managing ICT departmental work plans, budgets, and performance to support KICC’s operational efficiency.

7. Manager, Legal and Regulatory Affairs (Job Grade KICC 3)

The Manager of Legal and Regulatory Affairs oversees all legal matters within the Corporation. This role involves preparing legal briefs, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and managing litigation processes. The manager coordinates legal audits, reviews contracts, and manages tenancy agreements, ensuring all transactions are in KICC’s best interests. This role also involves guiding the organization on legal decisions, policies, and procedures to safeguard corporate interests.

8. Director Operations (Job Grade KICC 2)

The Director of Operations is tasked with ensuring efficient management and optimization of KICC facilities. This role includes developing operational guidelines, coordinating projects, and supporting customer-facing divisions. Responsibilities include modernizing the facility, maintaining safety protocols, preserving architectural heritage, and ensuring that client needs are met. The Director of Operations is a key driver in ensuring that KICC operates smoothly and meets customer satisfaction goals for business events.
