Controversial car dealer Khalif Kairo thrives in the spotlight, especially on X, where he boasts over 300,000 followers. He shares glimpses of his life, including posts about his son and girlfriends, the latter of which has made him a trend a lot lately.
But in all reality, social media, especially X, can be harsh, as users hide behind anonymity to post brutal comments.
Earlier this year, Khalif Kairo introduced his ex-girlfriend, Cera Imani, and it was dramatic.
In his usual flare, the father of one publicly expressed his love for Cera, sharing their travels and her cooking. He even declared her “the one” and the future mother of his kids.
However, no sooner had he made this declaration than netizens unearthed Cera Imani’s past, including pictures of her partying with friends as posted on BNN Premium. And this caused an online uproar.
Cera faced intense cyberbullying as keyboard warriors hiding behind their online identities had a field day over the drama. In an attempt to sanitize his then-girlfriend’s image and shift attention from her past, Kairo offered a car as a reward for anyone who would write a poem for her.
Unfortunately, his efforts did not amount to much, and they eventually broke up.
Although I will not claim that her past caused their breakup, it likely played a role.
Did Khalif Kairo Learn?
Fast forward, Kairo has moved on with former Miss World Kenya, Wavinya Maria.
He introduced her to the world with his usual flair, waxing lyrical and praising her undeniable beauty.
But it did not take long for netizens to dig up old photos and videos of her with Mr. Wang, a Chinese national known for working with famous Kenyan models.
Clips of them in matching robes at a hotel and creating dancing reels together flooded social media, prompting a wave of jokes about Mr. Wang at Wavinya Maria’s expense.
Even renowned chef Dennis Ombachi, aka the Roaming Chef, joined in the banter with a cheeky tweet about inviting Mr. Wang to his infamous balcony for a cookout.
In an attempt to again shift the focus from his girlfriend’s past, Kairo claimed that Wavinya and he are legally married after only four months of dating. This claim shocked everyone,including Wavinya, who also seemed pretty surprised.
All said and done, Khalif Kairo’s relationships seem to expose his girlfriends to online scrutiny, which raises the question of whether he intentionally perpetuates this pattern.
