School of Nursing
Due to rapid expansion in our Nursing program, the Departments of Medical and Surgical Nursing and Midwifery and Reproductive Health are seeking to employ qualified and experienced Lecturers and Clinical Instructors.
Job Title: Lecturer – Department of Medical Surgical Nursing (2 Positions)
Purpose of the Job:
Contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research, and mentoring students to achieve overall objectives.
Requirements:
- Christian commitment and practice.
- Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited University.
- Master’s in Medical Surgical Nursing and/or Master’s in Nursing Education, in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university.
- At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or in research/industry.
- A minimum of 24 publication points, with at least 16 from refereed journal papers.
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops.
- Active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities.
- Registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid Practice License. Working Conditions: Hybrid (teaching online and face-to-face).
Responsibilities: - Teaching and training students.
- Conducting quality research.
- Evaluating students through assessments and exams.
- Engaging in curriculum and program review and development.
- Mobilizing resources and building industry relationships.
- Mentoring students academically and spiritually.
- Implementing best practices in teaching, training, and research.
- Ensuring consistent Christian behavior.

Purpose of the Job:
Contributing to the scholarship and intellectual life of the university by teaching, conducting research, and mentoring students to achieve overall objectives.
Requirements:
- Christian commitment and practice.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- Three (3) years of clinical teaching experience since graduation.
- Additional training or certification in the relevant area is an added advantage.
- Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya. Working Conditions: Physical (face-to-face) in the clinical setting.
Responsibilities: - Facilitating teaching and learning in clinical and classroom practicum sessions.
- Evaluating students through continuous assessments and exams.
- Engaging in curriculum and program review to integrate theory with practice.
- Mentoring students academically and spiritually.
- Implementing change initiatives.
- Ensuring consistent Christian behavior.
