“Alex Mwakideu has been paid by (marketing company) to paint Adani in good light on radio. If you hear him talking like he’s trying to defend Adani, just know he’s in on the deal. I’ll update you on the strategy they’re using shortly, even in mainstream media,” Amenya claimed.

He went further to promise Kenyans that he would be providing more details on how Adani is using the strategy to change Kenyans’ view on Adani writing, “I will fill you guys in on the strategy they are using in a few even on MSM.”

Mwakideu is not the only high-profile influencer that Amenya has accused of being on the payroll to sanitise Adani group dealings in Kenya. On Sunday, Amenya posted on his social media that the CEO of the marketing company in Kenya had revealed an elaborate strategy to market the Indian company in good light in the next three months in unconfirmed leaked company emails.

“Leaked emails from the CEO reveal an elaborate strategy to sanitize Adani interests in Kenya for the next 3 months, he even goes ahead and says there are 4 more Adani projects in the pipeline (one of them is Mombasa port),” he wrote.

He also alleged that there he was also privy to the company working on an impending documentary on Adani writing, “I learnt that they were sending a journalist to India to do a documentary on Adani but statehouse stopped it, this journalist interviewed me at some point too.”

By the time of publishing this story, the marketing firm had yet to respond to the claims. On October 15, Amenya was barred from publishing content linking Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot to the deal until a hearing was made concerning a defamation case the Kericho Senator had filed.
