He shared nine auctions captured in a strip that was published in a local newspaper which listed the properties targeted for auction, including parcels of land and hospital facilities.

Former Kesses Member of Parliament Swarup Mishra on Sunday, July 14 lamented sinister political motives against him after a series of auction notices emerged targeting his properties.

Mishra however claimed that he was being targeted in a political fashion intentionally, given that the auctions had focused mainly on his properties and not those owned by other politicians.

“After 2 years of living on my knees under constant threat and losing millions to systemic blackmail; I wake up to find everything I’ve worked for for over 20 years is being auctioned

“Where are we headed as Kenyans? Am I the only political target? NO. We are many,” he wrote.

Among the listed properties include three parcels of land in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, all of which host Mediheal Hospital, and another hosting a residential property.

As per Eshikhoni Auctioneers, selected to lead the exercise, the auction process will be carried out on July 22, 2024.

Kenyans on X raised concerns on his behalf, with Mishra telling off one of them who accused him of mismanagement of his affairs. According to him, Kenyans should not criticise when others benefit from acts of goodwill of people like himself.

On his part, Mishra in a separate post revealed that the loss was a result of a political witchhunt affecting several other politicians, vowing to unleash every single detail on the same.

“Time will come when I will talk. No stones shall be left unturned… They have already taken everything… I am ready for anything. Kenya is our country,” he stated.

“My voice is unrelated to the Gen Z movement, but my heart bleeds for the thousands of Gen Z who lost jobs due to the closure of hundreds of businesses attributed to political witch-hunt and revenge. We can be quiet but not for long.”

The former lawmaker on May 17, 2023, joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party under President William Ruto.

The medical doctor-cum-businessman dumped the former ruling Jubilee Party under the Azimio la Umoja coalition and mobilised a section of professionals and businessmen from the Asian community to join the party known for its ‘Yellow Wave’.
