Irish actor Pierce Brosnan, 71, dressed impressively in a navy suit and tie, completing his look with shiny brown shoes and sunglasses.

Andrew Garfield, 40, meanwhile, looked stylish in a navy jacket and orange shirt, paired with cream trousers.

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton dressed in Ralph Lauren as they made a rare public appearance together on day 14 of the competition.

Actress Meg Bellamy, who played Kate Middleton in the Netflix blockbuster The Crown, and Dame Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for The Queen, were among the big names taking their places in the Royal Box for the women’s singles final.

Zendaya, who recently starred in Challengers, a romantic comedy set in the tennis world, joined the parade of celebrities who held off Czech Republic’s Barbora Krejcikova in a thrilling three-setter over Italy’s Jasmine Paolini to claim her second Grand Slam title.

Hollywood stars Kate Beckinsale, Hugh Jackman and Tom Cruise were also present.

There had been hopes that the Princess of Wales would be present to present the trophy to Ms Krejcikova, but Kensington Palace confirmed today that she was ‘very keen to be there’.

Kate, who has been patron of the All England Club for eight years, may be joined by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, nine, who reached the men’s final last year.

Kate will present the winner’s trophy after seven-time champion Novak Djokovic takes on reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz in a repeat of their thrilling five-set clash last year.

Her appearance would come just hours before her husband, Prince William, watched the England men attempt to win their first major football trophy since 1966.

Patten, 28, from Manningtree in Essex, burst into tears after he and Heliovaara defeated Australians Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson in an epic duel.
