Kiharu Member of Parliament (MP) Samson Ndindi Nyoro has condemned the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
In a statement, the lawmaker stated that the entire world must condemn Trump’s assassination attempt adding that political tolerance is the greatest threat to democracy worldwide.
He termed the incident as horrible and wished te presidential aspirant a quick recovery.
“President Donald Trump’s assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania must be condemned by the entire world. Political intolerance is the single most threat to democracy anywhere. Horrible. We wish President Trump quick recovery. We are African and Africa is our Business,” Ndindi stated.

Trump sustained an ear injury after an unknown assailant shot at him during a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
The presidential aspirant was whisked to safety by the US Secret Service agents moments after the gunshots erupted. Speaking after the incident, Trump stated that a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear and is currently receiving treatment at a local medical centre.
“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening,” he said.
Police confirmed the incident saying the assassin who was armed with a rifle fired from an elevated structure a few metres away from the venue.
Various leaders led by President Joe Biden have also come forth to condemn the incident.
In his remarks, Biden termed the attack as ‘sick’ calling on all leaders to condemn the incident. His campaign suspended all political communication, including ads attacking Trump.
“There’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick,” he said.
