Moment Secret Service snipers shoot gunman who shot Donald Trump

Dramatic new video of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump shows the moment Secret Service agents fire on a gunman on a rooftop hundreds of yards away.

The footage shows officers standing on top of a building above the protest stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, as shots ring out.

We see one of the guns recoil as Donald Trump grabs its ear and is carried off stage after pumping his fist in the air and shouting “fight, fight, fight.”

The failed assassin was shot dead along with a member of the crowd at 6:15pm on Saturday night in a terrifying scene.

A witness to the killing said he alerted Secret Service agents to a man with a gun on a nearby roof minutes before they opened fire.

The witness, identified only as Greg, told the BBC he saw the suspected gunman climb onto a roof outside the event and was stunned by the lack of action from officers.

“I thought to myself, ‘Why is Trump still talking, why didn’t they take him off the stage?’” he said. “The next thing you know, five shots go off.”

He added that he saw the Secret Service “blow his head off.”
