Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested AGAIN in Texas last month for driving on an invalid license – as Chiefs star’s dad awaits trial on drunk-driving charge

Patrick Mahomes Sr. was arrested last month in Texas for driving on a suspended license, according to court documents. The arrest came just five months after the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s father was arrested in the same county for driving under the influence.

Court documents show that Mahomes Sr. was ticketed for driving without a valid license at approximately 8:30 p.m. on June 29. TMZ was first to report the latest arrest.

Mahomes, 53, was also given a warning for ignoring traffic signs, suggesting he may have been pulled over for a traffic violation.

Mahomes Sr. is due in court no later than July 31.

Meanwhile, the former MLB relief pitcher’s trial for drunken driving begins later this month in Texas.

He was arrested by Tyler, Texas police on February 3, marking the third time he has been arrested for drunk driving.

The younger Mahomes refused to speak to reporters in Las Vegas about his arrest in the days leading up to his second straight Super Bowl victory.

“It’s a family thing, so I’m keeping it family,” Mahomes told reporters on opening night of the Super Bowl. “That’s all I have to say.”

Mahomes Sr., a divorced father of four, posted a 5.34 ERA in 11 MLB seasons, during which time he was used primarily as a reliever.

Mahomes II inherited his father’s passion for baseball. Not only was he a high school star at Texas, but the reigning Super Bowl MVP is also a minority owner of the Kansas City Royals.

Additionally, Mahomes Sr.’s former teammate on the Minnesota Twins, retired reliever LaTroy Hawkins, is Mahomes II’s godfather.

The news comes at a busy time for Mahomes II.

After winning the Super Bowl MVP award for the second time in a row and the third time in five years, Mahomes II was named NFL Player of the Year and Men’s Sports Athlete of the Year at the ESPY Awards on Thursday.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ frontman was chosen over Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett, San Francisco 49ers and NFL leader in rushing yards Christian McCaffrey and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens for the league honor.
