Project description: The Centre for Global Health Research at the Kenya Medical Research Institute
(KEMRI) conduct a study on climate change and health, with focus on understanding the effect of heat
stress on health work capacity among vulnerable populations. The project has a vacancy as follows:
Assistant Principal Research Scientist
The officer will be responsible for leading the adaptation of laboratory technologies from the CDC’s Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria, and NOMADs Nanopore Technology group to KEMRI/CGHR, will work in collaboration with and be supported by CDC laboratory scientists in Atlanta and Nairobi, as well as other external collaborators.
Administrative Assistant
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Diploma in Business Administration, Management and Project Planning or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Assistant Principal Clinical Scientist
The officer is responsible for overseeing, coordinating programmatic and scientific
activities within the project in Kenya. This position supports the program’s goals, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful execution of CHAMPS activities. The officer will serve
as a key point of contact between the Local site and the CHAMPS Program Office at Emory
University, stakeholders, and partners
