KUCCPS sets deadline for KMTC course revision ahead of September intake

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued a notice to students wishing to pursue different courses in various Kenya Medical Training Colleges (KMTC) across the country.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, KUCCPS announced that the portal would be closed on Friday, July 12, 2024.

The portal was opened to allow applicants to revise their course choices ahead of September 2024 intake.

KUCCPS said those who applied for the intake and have not secured a course are invited to choose other KMTC courses via the portal in the revision period.

“Seeking an opportunity to join KMTC starting September 2024? The KUCCPS application portal for placement to KMTC will close on July 12, 2024!

“Log in to the portal via http://students.kuccps.net and apply!” the notice stated.

KUCCPS said the application targeted qualified KCSE holders from 2014 to 2023 who wish to enrol in KMTC programmes.

Courses available

According to KUCCPS, over 23 courses are available for selection in their portal. The courses include Certificate in Medical Engineering, Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician, Diploma in Health Records And Information Technology, Certificate in Health Records And Information Technology, Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, Certificate In Community Health Assistant, Certificate in Nutrition And Dietetics, Diploma in Medical Engineering, Diploma in Public Health, Diploma in Health Counselling, Certificate in Public Health, Diploma in Physiotherapy and Diploma in Community Health.

Other courses are: Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics, Diploma in Medical Social Work, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Diploma in Occupational Therapy, Diploma in Optometry, Diploma in Health Promotion, Diploma in Dental Technology, Diploma in Orthopedic & Trauma Medicine, Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology and Diploma in Radiography and Imaging.

Initial opening of portal

KUCCPS opened its portal on June 21, 2024, targeting qualified KCSE holders from 2014 to 2023 who wish to enrol in KMTC programmes.

” This includes those who applied previously but were not successful,” KUCCPS said.

To apply, one is to access the student’s portal using the link students.kuccps.net or through the KUCCPS website www.kuccps.ac.ke.
