Missing woman’s desperate request after turning up to a stranger’s front door in the freezing cold – as footage emerges of her last moments

Chilling footage captured the moment a missing mother rang her doorbell, asking for clothes and water, just before she disappeared more than a month ago.

Renee, 42, was last seen leaving her home on the Western Highway at Warrenheip in Ballarat, Victoria’s Central Highlands, at 1.25pm. on May 30th.

She was seen wearing her black cat Shadow in a travel basket, who was found a few days later in front of another house.

The mother has been missing for five weeks and her family is concerned for her welfare due to her medical condition.

Victoria Police released a video on Monday showing Renee ringing the doorbell at a home on Buchanan Drive in Lucas, the same day her cat was found.

“She rang the doorbell and spoke briefly with a resident inside, asking for clothing and water before leaving,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

CCTV footage captured at the house showed Renee wearing a pair of black leggings and a hoodie with three pandas on the front, visibly shivering from the cold.

She sat on the porch and put on a dark gray hoodie the homeowner had given her.

Renee then ran off with two full bottles of water and has not been heard from since.

Her family is concerned for her well-being as she has a medical condition and has been missing for so long.

Investigators do not consider her disappearance suspicious.

They think Renee is confused or deliberately trying to avoid people.

According to Victoria Police, her bank accounts have been locked out for more than a month.

Renee is white, slim build, approximately 170 cm tall and has blond hair.

She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
