Shocking moment boxing referee is punched in the face during Keyshawn Davis-Miguel Madueno fight

This is the terrifying moment a boxing referee was punched in the face while trying to break up a fight between Keyshawn Davis and Miguel Madueno on Saturday night.

The lightweight bout took place at the Prudential Center in New Jersey and saw Davis and Madueno face off in a hostile match that threatened to heat up between rounds.

The shocking incident occurred at the end of the sixth round, when the bell rang and both fighters decided to continue challenging each other rather than go back to their corners.

Madueno was initially the main instigator, the referee had to hold him back so he couldn’t hit his opponent.

As the two drew closer together, they managed to stand face to face, before Davis lightly struck Madueno on the head.

The Mexican fighter tried to fight back, but inadvertently hit the referee, causing him to fall backwards.

The referee managed to stay on his feet but was visibly shaken by the blow. Both fighters then went back to their corners with their trainers.

Immediately after, the referee went to Madueno’s corner and was heard on camera saying, “Who the f*** just hit me?” as the commentators speculated on whether the fighter would be disqualified.

Ultimately, Madueno escaped the referee’s unintentional blow, but he eventually lost the bout after ten rounds by unanimous decision.

With the result, Davis maintained his undefeated record (11-0), while Madueno is 31-3, having lost three of his last seven fights.
