Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
(b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Master’s Degree or currently enrolled in a Master’s Programme in health sciences, One Health, environmental management, biodiversity conservation and management, development studies, social sciences or a related field is required;
In addition to: Be computer literate in standard software applications. Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
Demonstrated experience in One Health policy or implementation is required; Master’s Degree or currently enrolled in a Master’s Programme in health sciences, One Health, environmental management, biodiversity conservation and management, development studies, social sciences or a related field is required; Demonstrated experience sustainable development is desirable. Experience in organising events, conferences or meetings is desirable.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN language is desirable
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
