Emma Roberts shared that she enjoys watching her aunt Julia Roberts’ movies when she’s “alone.” She even named the specific movies she watches most often.
The 33-year-old actress is the daughter of Julia’s brother Eric Roberts, who is an actor himself and known for films such as The Expendables.
She has also since built a successful acting career, appearing in projects such as the Ryan Murphy series American Horror Story and Scream Queens.
Now Emma, who bears a striking resemblance to her world-famous aunt, has revealed that she is ‘still’ being offered roles opposite Julia.
She candidly opened up about whether she would consider the prospect of working with Julia, in a new interview with Variety.

“I would love to find the perfect project for me and my aunt, and I know there will be something there. But it has never been the right one,” Emma said.
“She’s the best and I want to do something with her. We send each other books and talk about things, but it’s not right,” she noted.
“I watch her movies when I’m on location and I’m alone. I have movies of hers downloaded onto my computer that I watch for my comfort. My Best Friend’s Wedding and America’s Sweethearts are my safe movies.”
My Best Friend’s Wedding was a classic 1997 romantic comedy starring Julia, who is involved in a love triangle with Cameron Diaz and Dermot Mulroney.
America’s Sweethearts is another romantic comedy, this time from 2001, starring Julia as the hardened personal assistant to a movie star, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The film contributed to Julia’s acclaimed image as “America’s Sweetheart,” an image that has haunted her ever since.
Emma’s latest comments come after she revealed she ‘doesn’t want to date actors anymore’ – following her experiences with men who ‘bordered on method actors’.
Most recently, she was announced to be working with Cody John, an actor who has appeared in series such as NCIS, The Rookie and Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
The Madame Web actress previously dated Alex Pettyfer, Garrett Hedlund and her American Horror Story co-star Evan Peters.
Now, however, Julia Roberts’ cousin has revealed that she would rather date someone who is not in the profession that made her family famous.

While she didn’t specifically say whether she and Cody are still together, she did say Show off Her current boyfriend, whom she does not name, has a job related to show business.
“One day the veil was lifted and I didn’t want to date actors anymore. It’s hard, I think, for two actors to be together,” she explained.
“I wonder if I’ve seen it as successful,” said Emma, whose father, Eric Roberts, is an actor and has been married to actress Eliza Garrett for more than 30 years.
“Also, the actors I worked with bordered on method actors, and that’s something I find very difficult to relate to — at least for me, especially in terms of the characters they played,” she added.
Cody and Emma went Instagram official in August 2022 and were recently spotted passionately kissing in New York City.
Emma has a three-year-old son, Rhodes, with Garrett Hedlund, with whom she was in a relationship for almost three years until news of their split became public in January 2022.
Shortly after their split became public, Garrett was reportedly arrested for public intoxication in Tennessee. However, he was released after posting $2,100 bail.
Garrett was arrested while still serving three years of probation for a previous DUI charge from January 2020 after he allegedly crashed into a car carrying a woman and her three children.
Garrett and Emma were first linked in April 2019, shortly after she split from her on-again, off-again fiancé and American Horror Story co-star Evan Peters.
While she hasn’t specifically stated whether she and Cody John are still together, she recently told Flaunt that her current boyfriend — whom she didn’t name — has a job related to show business.

As Emma and Evan continued to break up and get back together, a particularly heated argument broke out in a Montreal hotel in 2013. She was eventually arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and he refused to press charges.
Someone reported a fight in his room to police, and when officers arrived, Evan reportedly had a bloody nose and a bite wound, TMZ reported.
Emma’s representative released a statement about the “unfortunate incident and misunderstanding,” saying, “Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to process this,” via Entertainment tonight.
Evan reached new heights of fame last year thanks to a hit Netflix series in which he played notorious serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer.
