Buriram is gearing up for a grand celebration, marking the 72nd birthday of His Majesty the King Maha Vajiralongkorn with an extravagant event titled Breath of the Land. The event will span three days, from tomorrow July 5 to July 7, at the Chang Arena football stadium, featuring world-class musical performances and various charitable activities.

The people of Buriram have united to organise this event, which will include a wide range of activities open to residents of Buriram, neighbouring provinces, and visitors from across the country and around the world. The event aims to honour His Majesty the King and promote unity and loyalty to the monarchy.

Governor Nuracha Khosasivilai revealed that the province is ready to host the grand event, which is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors over three days.

“This event has been organised by the people of Buriram to celebrate His Majesty the King’s birthday. There will be numerous activities over the three days, with free admission for everyone. We anticipate more than 30,000 visitors each day and have contingency plans in place if attendance exceeds expectations.”

The Breath of the Land event will feature several activities, including a spectacular 3D Mapping light and sound show, an orchestral performance by over 200 local musicians using more than 120 instruments, and a musical theatre production depicting the king’s royal duties and contributions to the Thai people.

The orchestral performance will be a highlight, with musicians from Buriram Rajabhat University combining traditional Isaan instruments with a newly arranged score, including compositions by His Majesty the King. This performance aims to express the deep gratitude and loyalty felt by the Thai people towards the king.
