Developer NetEase Games has revealed Lot: get upan upcoming free-to-play sci-fi shooter set in the world of the popular Destination franchise. The game, coming to mobile devices, will undergo its first closed alpha test in November.
Lot: get up Sounds like a pretty interesting direction for the series. It takes place in an alternate version of the Destination universe, at the end of the previously undiscovered Dark Age. Humanity is just emerging from a period of collapse caused by an alien invasion that has driven the species to near extinction.
The game follows a new generation of Lightbearers, the heroes of Destination And Lot 2who are accompanied by robot ghosts. It will offer both traditional first-person and new third-person play, plus controller support on top of the usual touchscreen controls.
You can play as a series of unique characters, each with their own unique abilities, personalities and backstories. Some will be recognizable for a long time Destination fans, while others are complete newcomers.
In addition to the single-player gameplay, a range of competitive and cooperative game modes will also be available. This includes some taken from existing ones Destination games and others that the studio says are designed to “introduce new ways to play Destination”.
Lot: get up is officially licensed by Bungie. According to Ethan Wang, senior vice president at NetEase, the company is “honored to partner with Bungie to create a… Destination-caliber experience on mobile devices.”
“Destination is an incredible franchise with a passionate and dedicated global fan base,” he continued. “As huge fans, we are humbled and thrilled by the opportunity to bring gamers an action-packed RPG shooter set in the Destination Universe.”
Terry Redfield, creative lead at Bungie, added that “we’ve been building this universe for over a decade to contain many unique and wonderful stories, and we’re excited to see mobile gamers experience this new take on the world . Destination universe of the NetEase creative team.”
The closed alpha test for Lot: get up starts on November 1. If you want to play early, you can register for it now through the game official website.
