A teenager found covered in dried blood after crashing his pick-up truck while ‘drunk’ has police trying to find out what happened.

Aaron Richard, 18, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after police responded to a major crash on FM 2871 near I-20 in Tarrant County, Texas, around 1:55 a.m. Monday.

Officers responding to the crash immediately noticed that Richard was covered in large amounts of dried blood, which was also splattered all over his vehicle.

The vehicle is said to have been involved in a 'major accident' early on Monday morning

Investigators noticed traces of blood along the driver’s side of Richard’s white 1997 Chevrolet single cab pickup and on several parts of the exterior.

Officers also found dried blood on the inside of the truck.

When asked where the blood came from and how he got covered in it, TSCO said Richard refused to explain.

Authorities are now asking anyone who may have seen Richard or the truck to contact the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office has not said whether investigators believe anyone is in danger or has been killed.

Richard previously served a six-month probation on a charge of disorderly conduct in Haltom City.

He posted $500 bail on a DUI charge, according to the Tarrant County Jail.

A DUI charge could potentially affect his probation.
