Senior Relationship Manager, Affordable Housing

To formulate and implement strategies for Affordable mortgages both on the supply and demand side for business growth and profitability. Implementing the Affordable Housing proposition and initiatives aimed at optimizing both customer experience and profitability for the bank and for the businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • To formulate and implement strategies for Affordable mortgages both on the supply and demand side for business growth and profitability.
  • Implementing the Affordable Housing proposition and initiatives aimed at optimizing both customer experience and profitability for the bank and for the businesses.
  • To grow and retain a portfolio of high value affordable Housing supply and demand deals by performing proactive and value adding portfolio management
  • Developing new affordable Housing mortgage products for KCB – This includes affordable Housing projects and affordable housing mortgages
  • Manage KMRC relationship and ensure return on investment of KCB’s investment in the PPP.
  • Identify and onboard other entities that can provide funding as well as de-risking instruments for the mortgage book- Security based lending firms or other form of funding structures for the book.
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products through research and consistent customer engagement.
  • Analyzing and actualizing potential partnerships with real estate industry players and stakeholders
  • Growing and managing top strategic relationships characterized by complex relationships, value and high returns.
  • Driving business growth demonstrated through Revenues and Profitability for the affordable Housing Segment.
  • On-boarding new business to ensure growth & sustainability
  • Cross Selling Banking Products in close cooperation with other units in the bank Company.

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree University Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Finance, Banking or its equivalent from a recognized institution. 
  • Seven (7) years’ banking experience in the Financial/banking sector, five (3) of which should be in Real Estate Financing.
  • Credit and Financial Analysis 
  • Relationship management
  • Client Portfolio Management 
  • Digital Savvy and Computer literacy
  • Entrepreneurial and Commercial thinking
  • Integrity & courage to challenge actions within various business units and the status quo.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong persuasion, management and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Creative approach, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
