Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage has emerged showing the last moments before the son of Attorney General (AG) Justin Muturi was abducted allegedly by police officers.

In the clip seen by Viral Tea, the Toyota Landcruiser Prado in which Leslie Muturi was riding was captured leaving Alfajiri Club at Maalim Juma Road in Kilimani, Nairobi, not knowing that a white-coloured Land Cruiser was gradually stalking him.

The white Landcruiser, box-shaped, was captured driving slowly past the gates leading to the entrance of the entertainment joint.

Leslie’s vehicle was following another Prado in another segment of the footage as it drove away from the view of the CCTV, and the white Landcruiser followed suit.

Here is the video:

Embakasi West Member of Parliament Mark Mwenje on Saturday, June 22 had recounted that Leslie was hijacked by suspected police officers wearing combat uniforms, who had emerged from the very Land Cruiser he described.

“The guys who have taken him are cops and I’m the one who has seen it. It is a white hardtop Land Cruiser the old one.

“We saw you guys, dressed in combat…we know you guys, we have the plates. Release Leslie Muturi right now,” he demanded.

Leslie’s car was intercepted by suspected police officers around Lavington and Kilimani on Saturday night. Mwenje requested the help of Gen Z in locating Leslie, adding that he had been unable to trace where he was taken to.

Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu on Sunday, June 23 claimed that Leslie was abducted because the AG refused to be misused.

“You heard that yesterday, AG Justin Muturi’s son was abducted by police officers. He was in a convoy with Mwenje when police intercepted him, took him from his seat and disappeared with him, now it is not known where he is.

“When you see it that way, there must be something that Muturi refused, he refused to be taken around corners, and now they knew to abduct his son and torture him so that he could communicate with the father. What kind of government is this? Let 2027 come so that it is sent home,” he said.

The abduction came hours after the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) confirmed the release of content creator Billy Simani, also known as “Crazy Nairobian”.

For the whole of Saturday, an X space titled “Good Morning Kenya: Where is Crazy Nairobian,” began as a call for the release of Billy and morphed into the ongoing conversation on the Finance Bill for the better part of the day.

By 12:30 p.m., the space had attracted over 50,000 listeners, including accounts linked to politicians and the government spokesperson’s office. At some point, even the account of President William Ruto made a short appearance as the attendance neared 60,000.
