A $3 snack from Aldi Australia is sending customers wild – but there’s a catch

A tasty and affordable snack from Aldi Australia has caught the attention of consumers, but those who haven’t yet had a chance to try them will have to wait until the seasonal product is back in stock.

The Dairy Fine Mini Peanut Butter Filled Eggs for $2.99 have been rated a ‘ten out of ten’ by satisfied customers.

The creamy milk chocolate eggs are made with a deliciously smooth peanut butter filling, mixed with small crunchy pieces.

But while many on social media were excited about the purchase, others were unaware that the eggs were available in a limited edition over the Easter period.

Now Aldi fans will have to wait until next year for the delicious snack to be re-released.

One woman who managed to get her hands on a bag described the treat as ‘unreal’.

“You open them up and you think, ‘They don’t look that nice at all,’ but wait a minute,” Gemma said.

“Look at all that peanut butter, it tastes like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. I ate half the carton already, I’m not going to lie to you, this is unreal.”

‘I recently received two packs but haven’t tried them yet. I was surprised how cheap they were! I gotta try them and get more,” someone commented on the video.

Others tagged their friends to share their enthusiasm.

Another foodie by the name of @nectoriouspapi also boasted about the chocolate in a now-viral TikTok.

“A resounding yes from me. This is an easy ten out of ten for me,” he said.

The Easter eggs came out in stores in February and will likely be back around the same time next year.

Last month, foodies went crazy when they saw the ‘best chocolate in the world’ on offer at Aldi.

A customer from Geelong spotted Tony’s Chocolonely bars in the ‘Special Buys’ section and was shocked by the $4.99 price tag.

The popular chocolate, which originated in the Netherlands, delighted customers last year when it launched at Coles and Woolworths for $8 each.

Now fans are rushing to Aldi to get their hands on the popular product at a discount.

“$4.99, seriously? They have white chocolate strawberry cheesecake and the dark milk chocolate brownie,” she said in a TikTok video.
